    General Questions

    Most orders ship within 48 hours, typically faster than that. Pickup orders are the exception to that rule.

    When your order ships, you will receive a tracking number to your provided email address. You can click the link in this email to track your order from our door to yours, anywhere in the world.

    If you are waiting on an order with pickups, please remember that pickups are made to order and have a 2-6 week lead time. Orders containing pickups and other items will ship as a complete order when pickups are built and ready to ship. If you want the other items immediately, please place separate orders.

    Current lead time for pickups is 2-6 weeks. This means your pickups will take up to 6 weeks to ship. This does not account for shipping time. This number is an estimate and can sometimes be a little longer and sometimes a little shorter depending on the size of the queue at the time of ordering.

    Things like shipping address and email address can be changed after an order is placed but only if it hasn't shipped yet. If the order has already shipped, there's nothing we can do.

    The items in the order cannot be adjusted after an order is placed. If you would like to swap pedal colors, or pickup type etc, your order will be cancelled and you will need to place a new order for the items you want. If this is a pickup order, your new order will be placed at the end of the build queue, so it is best to notify us as quickly as possible.

    Some changes like jazzmaster pickup cover colors can be easily made until the order ships. Just reply to your order confirmation email and we will make a note on the order.

    We ship all our orders from our shop in historic Salem, Massachusetts.

    Yes, our products have a limited lifetime warranty. You can read about our warranty policy on our warranty page.

    Typically, yes. Please refer to our warranty and repair page for more info or to fill out a repair form.

    Generally, no. We are very small company and cannot afford to accommodate returns refunds at this time.

    We can typically cancel an order if it has not shipped yet. Please see the below section on cancelling an order.

    If your order is defective or damaged, we will repair or replace it.

    For most orders, if your order hasn't shipped yet, we can cancel your order, just send us an email.

    Pickup orders are subject to our discretion. If your order has begun production or parts have already been assigned to your order we cannot can cancel it.

    If you are wanting to cancel an order that hasn't shipped yet, it is best to let us know as soon as possible.

    We are a very small company and cannot accommodate try before buy. Thankfully, we have some wonderful dealers and guitar shops carrying our products in their stores. If you happen to live near one, pay them a visit. If you don't live near one of our dealers, talk to your local guitar shop and ask them to become a dealer for Black Mass products. This is the single best way to make our products more accessible to you.

    International Ordering

    All international orders are shipped using DHL services. Most countries will be offered two different services. The DHL eCommerce Parcel Direct service is more affordable but is slower, and relies on delivery by your local postal service. The DHL Express Worldwide service is much faster and is delivered locally by DHL couriers. The Express Worldwide service does not transfer to local postal services and is eligible for holds at DHL package locations.

    Import and customs fees will be collected if your country requires it. Fortunately, we automatically collect and remit these fees and duties at checkout. This means you will not owe additional fees upon arrival at your customs.

    For most currencies, yes. You can check out in your local currency and avoid international bank conversion charges.

    If we have a dealer in your country or region, you absolutely can. Please refer to our dealer page to see the complete list of shops carrying our products.

    If you don't see your favorite shop represented in our dealer list, talk to your local guitar shop and ask them to become a dealer for Black Mass products. This is the single best way to make our products more accessible to you.

    No we will not ship to a forwarding service. There's too much risk for fraud or lost packages.
